"[Pastor Steven] Anderson rejects the ex-gay movement because he believes in a reprobate doctrine that homosexuals cannot cease to be homosexual because they have been turned over to a "reprobate mind," and seeks instead to kill homosexuals under what Anderson describes as a "righteous government." Scripture reserves the Kingdom of God for any and all people who place their trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; 1 John 1:7-9). The only factor that would exclude one from salvation would be unbelief. Our Savior is greater than the sin that separates us from God.
In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, the Apostle Paul provides a list of sins that are damning, if not repented of. Homosexuality is one of them. In verse 11, he said of his audience, "Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ..." Thus, we have a clear disproof of the notion that homosexuals are beyond the forgiveness of God.
