"There is one concept used of the Spirit that is often thrown out as evidence against the His personhood. We often hear, "The Spirit cannot be a person, because we are baptized in the Spirit and hence, you can't be baptized in a person, but in a substance or a force." Yet, in reality, the Bible speaks of our being baptized into Christ Jesus in Romans 6:3 and Galatians 3:27, and neither passage is ever
cited to make the point that Jesus is not a person. All through the New Testament
we are said to be "in Christ" or "in Him," and this is never taken to mean that
Jesus is not a person. Likewise, being baptized in the Holy Spirit does not deny
He is a person-rather, it speaks to His omnipresence and spirituality."
