Sabbath Keepers Refuted

Our Lord Jesus Christ never taught that keeping the Sabbath was the most important commandment:

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:36-40)

This point of course refutes Seventh-Day Adventists, who go as far as to claim that Sunday worship is the mark of the beast.

  1. The Sabbath was the sign of a covenant between God and the Jews. Therefore, Sabbath-keeping was ONLY for the Jews (and Sunday is NOT the Sabbath!):

    1. Don't read beyond what I wrote. :) My first point is that, in agreement with your post, the Sabbath was never meant for anyone but the Jew, which refuses SDA. Parenthetically I noted that Sunday is not the Sabbath, which refutes any claimants that this change took place -- which is often an argument used against the SDA (unsuccessfully, I might add.)
