We Uphold The Law By Our Faith

"3:31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith...Paul is rejecting the law as the way of justification. But since the law as moral demand was not given to sinners in order to justify them (vv. 19, 20), the principle of justification by grace through faith cannot be a contradiction of the law. As Paul later demonstrates, the gospel upholds and promotes the law as the way in which the justified must walk (13:8–10) and can now begin to walk through the Spirit’s power (8:3, 4).”
